Hostinger coupon not working? 8 fixes that actually help

5 min read

If WEBHOST2026 or any Hostinger promo code won't apply, it's almost always one of eight things. Check them in this order and you'll know within two minutes whether it's fixable.

First, check what the cart is actually showing

Open the order summary on the right side of the cart. A working code shows as its own discount line, and the total drops. If you see the code name but no discount, it's been accepted but the item isn't eligible. If you see an error like "invalid coupon", it hasn't been accepted at all. The fixes below are split by which one you're seeing.

1. Another code is already in the cart

Hostinger allows one code per order. Browser extensions that auto-try codes often leave an expired one in place. Remove it with the × next to it, then apply the one you want.

2. A typo or extra space

Codes are matched exactly. Copy WEBHOST2026 rather than typing it, and make sure there's no space at the end, which phones often add. Better still, use a link from this site, which attaches it without typing.

3. The item isn't eligible

Coupons apply to hosting plans. They usually don't apply to:

  • A domain bought on its own.
  • Add-ons like extra backups, priority support or an extra email box.
  • The renewal of a plan you already have.
  • Upgrades from one plan to another inside the same subscription.

4. You're renewing, not buying

If the cart was opened from a renewal reminder email, it's a renewal order. Coupons for new purchases won't reduce it. You can still lower a renewal; there are a few honest ways covered in the renewal guide.

5. You're on a different country store

Hostinger has separate stores per country (hostinger.com/uk, /in, /ca and so on). Prices and some promotions differ. If the code fails on one, open the cart again through our link, which goes to the store the code was tested on.

6. An old cart or cookie is stuck

An old cart can keep its previous discount. Open the link in a private window, or clear cookies for hostinger.com, then try again. This fixes more cases than you'd expect.

7. The term is too short

Some promotions only apply to longer terms, and monthly billing is often excluded. Switch the term to 12, 24 or 48 months and watch whether the discount line appears.

8. The code has changed

Codes do get retired. WEBHOST2026 was last confirmed working in October 2026; the badge on this site only moves when we re-test it. If none of the above fixes it, message us and we'll check it at a live checkout.

Frequently asked questions

Why does Hostinger say my coupon is invalid?

Usually a typo, a trailing space, or another code already in the cart. Remove other codes, copy the code exactly, and apply it again.

The code applied but my price didn't change. Why?

The item in the cart isn't eligible, most often a renewal, a standalone domain or an add-on. Coupons lower the price of new hosting plans.

Can I add a coupon after I've paid?

No. Hostinger doesn't apply codes to orders that are already paid. If you paid within the last 30 days, you can ask for a refund and buy again with the code, but you'd lose any setup done in the meantime.
