Hostinger Premium vs Business vs Cloud Startup: which plan do you need?
The three Hostinger plans most people choose between, compared on storage, backups, resources and long-term cost. Which one fits a blog, a business site or a busy store, and when to upgrade.
The short answer
If you're unsure, start on Premium. Upgrading later in hPanel takes a few clicks and doesn't require moving your site.
- Premium: blogs, portfolios and small business sites. It's the right plan for most people.
- Business: online stores, sites that are already getting steady traffic, and anyone who wants daily backups.
- Cloud Startup: busy stores, agencies hosting many client sites, and sites that keep hitting shared-hosting limits.

Premium: the sensible default
Premium covers what a new site needs: a free domain for the first year, free email, the CDN, LiteSpeed caching and room for far more sites than most people will build. A blog or business site with a few thousand visitors a month runs comfortably on it.
Its weak spot is backups. They're weekly, so if something breaks on a Friday you could lose several days of changes. A free backup plugin that copies to Google Drive closes that gap.
Business: for stores and growing sites
Business costs about a dollar a month more and adds three things that matter once a site earns money: daily backups, faster NVMe storage and higher resource limits, so it holds up better when traffic spikes.
For a WooCommerce store, Business is the plan to start on. Orders arrive every day, and a daily backup means you never lose more than a day of them.
Cloud Startup: dedicated resources without a VPS
Cloud Startup gives your account its own CPU cores and RAM, so other customers' traffic can't slow you down, plus a dedicated IP. You still use hPanel and Hostinger still manages the server, so there's no Linux to learn.
It costs more than twice as much as Business, so only move up when you need it: hPanel shows you hitting resource limits, the store slows down at busy times, or you're an agency with many client sites on one account.
What about a VPS?
A VPS gives you even more control and resources per dollar, but you manage the server yourself. It's the right choice for developers running Node.js, Python or Docker apps. For WordPress sites without a developer looking after them, Cloud Startup is usually the better step up.
Think about renewal, not just the first price
All three renew at a higher standard rate after the intro term. A 48-month term keeps the promotional price longest: about $119.52 upfront for Premium, $167.52 for Business and $383.52 for Cloud Startup, before the coupon and tax.
Frequently asked questions
Is Hostinger Premium enough for WordPress?
Yes, for most blogs and business sites. Move to Business when you start selling online or want daily backups.
What's the difference between Hostinger Business and Cloud Startup?
Business is shared hosting with higher limits. Cloud Startup gives your account dedicated CPU cores and RAM plus a dedicated IP, so it stays fast however busy the server's other sites get.
Can I upgrade my Hostinger plan later?
Yes. Upgrade from hPanel at any time and your site stays where it is. You pay the difference for the rest of your term.
Does WEBHOST2026 work on all three plans?
Yes. It takes an extra 20% off Premium, Business and Cloud Startup on 12, 24 and 48-month terms.
