New to Hostinger? Here's how to log in to hPanel and where everything lives — installing WordPress, creating email, managing domains and DNS, SSL, backups, file manager and billing — so you can find any setting in seconds.
What hPanel is (and how it differs from cPanel)
hPanel is Hostinger's own control panel — the dashboard where you manage everything you've bought: websites, domains, email and billing. If you've used other hosts you may expect cPanel; Hostinger built hPanel instead, so the layout is different but every familiar feature is there, usually with a plainer name.
You don't install or configure hPanel. It's ready the moment your account is active.
Log in to hPanel
Two minutes to your dashboard:
- Go to hpanel.hostinger.com (bookmark it) or click Login at the top of hostinger.com.
- Sign in with your Hostinger email and password, or the Google/Facebook account you signed up with.
- Turn on two-factor authentication under account security — your hosting and domains are worth protecting.
- Land on the Home screen, which lists your websites and anything that needs attention.
The map: where everything lives
Almost everything sits under a handful of top-level sections. Learn these six and you can find any setting without hunting.
| Section | What you do there |
|---|---|
| Websites | Open a specific site to manage WordPress, files, databases, SSL and backups |
| Emails | Create and manage mailboxes, open webmail, see IMAP/SMTP settings |
| Domains | Manage domains you own, DNS records, nameservers and transfers |
| Hosting / VPS | Plan-level settings, resource usage, PHP version, server tools |
| Billing | Subscriptions, invoices, payment methods and auto-renewal |
| Account | Security, two-factor, team access and personal details |
Install WordPress (or build with the Website Builder)
To get a site online, open Websites and either add a new website or open an existing one. Hostinger's onboarding offers two paths: install WordPress in a few clicks, or use the AI Website Builder to generate a site. Pick WordPress if you want full control and plugins; pick the Builder if you want something live fast with no maintenance.
After the install, you'll get a WordPress admin link (yoursite.com/wp-admin). That's a separate login from hPanel — hPanel manages the hosting; wp-admin manages the content.
The settings beginners look for first
These are the controls people search for in their first week. Knowing where each one lives saves a support chat.
- SSL (the padlock): open your website, find SSL, and make sure the free certificate is active so the site loads over https.
- Email: create you@yourdomain.com under Emails — see the email guide below.
- DNS records: under the domain, open DNS/Nameservers to point a subdomain, verify a service or connect email.
- Backups: open your website → Files → Backups to download or restore a copy. Turn on automatic backups.
- File Manager: browse and edit your site's files in the browser without an FTP client.
- PHP version: under the hosting/advanced settings, keep PHP on a current version for speed and security.
Managing domains and DNS
Open Domains to see everything you own. Inside a domain you can edit DNS records (A, CNAME, MX, TXT), change nameservers, get the transfer (EPP) code and turn auto-renewal on or off.
Remember that hosting and domains are separate subscriptions. Renewing or cancelling one doesn't touch the other — a detail that trips up people who only mean to drop their hosting.
Billing, renewals and support
Billing → Subscriptions lists every plan with its renewal date. This is where you turn off auto-renewal, update your card or download invoices. Hostinger emails before a renewal, but the dashboard is the reliable place to check.
Stuck anywhere? Live chat runs 24/7 from inside hPanel, and the Knowledge Base is searchable from the help icon. When you buy a new plan, the coupon on this site adds an extra discount at checkout.
Frequently asked questions
How do I log in to hPanel?
Go to hpanel.hostinger.com (or click Login on hostinger.com) and sign in with your Hostinger email and password, or the Google/Facebook account you registered with. Turn on two-factor authentication once you're in.
Does Hostinger use cPanel?
No. Hostinger built its own control panel, hPanel. It has the same features you'd expect from cPanel — file manager, databases, email, DNS, SSL — just organised differently and with plainer labels.
Where do I install WordPress in hPanel?
Open Websites, then add or open a site and choose the WordPress install option. After it finishes you manage content at yoursite.com/wp-admin, which is a separate login from hPanel.
Where is SSL in hPanel?
Open your website inside the Websites section and find SSL. Make sure the free certificate is active so your site loads securely over https.
Where do I turn off auto-renewal?
Billing → Subscriptions. Open the plan and switch auto-renewal off. Hosting and domains are separate subscriptions, so switch off each one you don't want to renew.
